Follow channelTime Difference & Best Time to Call: Gulf, Egypt and Travel Destinations
See the hour difference between your city and a destination on any date (daylight saving included), and the hours when both sides are awake or at work for a call. It runs on the time-zone database built into your browser.
We do not hardcode any offset. Your browser computes everything from the IANA time-zone database, so results follow daylight saving in Europe, the Americas and Egypt automatically.
How it works
- For the date you pick, we ask the browser (Intl.DateTimeFormat API) for the local time in each city.
- Difference = the other city's UTC offset − your city's UTC offset on that day.
- We list the 24 hours of your day and highlight those where both clocks fall inside your chosen range (default 9 am to 9 pm; change it).
Traveller tip
Change the date to your travel day: the gap with London or New York shifts by an hour between summer and winter, while the Gulf states do not use daylight saving.

FAQ
Does it handle daylight saving?
Yes. The browser applies each zone's daylight-saving rules for the chosen date. Pick your travel date to get the right gap.
Why might another site show a different result?
Some sites hardcode a fixed gap and miss changes. Ours uses the IANA database on your device; update your browser if it is very old.
Do you save my choices?
No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is saved.
