How much is an eSIM for Vietnam? Plans compared
Updated:
Travellers heading to Vietnam have two simple ways to get online without a local SIM: one of 18 Airalo plans from $4, or open-data Holafly plans from $3.90. We checked both pages on 24 October 2026.
If you need lots of data, the biggest fixed plan is 50 GB for 30 days at $49 ($0.98/GB). Airalo names the network in Vietnam as VNPT (5G).
Before you buy
A common mistake on trips to Vietnam is buying more data than needed. Start with 3 GB for 7 days ($8) for a week and top up in the app later, or pick Holafly 7 days at $27.50 if you use a lot. Your phone must support eSIM.
